Easy and trouble-free attachment to Leitner & Kraus instruments!
Our a’-b ‘mechanism works without additional drilling new sound holes, as otherwise usual. Amazingly simply constructed and absolutely convincing in sound. Only an additional key lever is attached!
When the tones A ‘and Bb’ is pressed, the C ” ‘- D’ ” Triller is raised to make these sounds even clearer and full. Also, the otherwise sometimes unpleasant spring forces of the usual Bb ‘mechanisms are eliminated, because the lifter works without a spring.
Apart from new clarinets, which can be ordered with this extra, we also equip older clarinets built by us. This A´-Bb´-mechanism is protected by law.
Available for the following models:
All A / Bb / C clarinets
The designation V stands for variable. With this system, the clarinettist now has the opportunity to significantly change the sound, response and intonation simply by changing the barrel.
All of our clarinets in A, Bb and C, including the Boehm system, are available either as a conventional or as a V model at no extra charge.
Our V – System has established itself in many well-known orchestras over the years due to its advantages.

For all Bb-clarinets with bell mechanism
Clarinet professionals in the orchestra use a set of A/Bb clarinets, often having to switch from the A to the Bb clarinet and vice versa during a song. If this change does not take place for tonal or technical reasons, but only for the purpose to use the lowest note of the A clarinet, this is not very popular. In addition, certain composers write down the low Eb for the Bb clarinet, but this does not exist. The remedy is now the
low Eb extension, which makes it possible to play the lowest note of the A clarinet on the Bb clarinet and at the same time continue to improve the low e. It was important that no changes were made to the clarinet itself and that the original condition of the instrument could always be restored with a few simple steps.
The construction extends the body of the Bb clarinet by approx. 5 cm by attaching it between the lower joint and the bell using a plug connection. This low Eb extension has two keys that can be operated using a lever with a movable piece at the lower end. If the movable lever is set as shown in the illustration, the low-E improvement key on the right will be opened when it is
actuated. If the movable lever is switched over so that it now closes the larger open key on the left, the deep eb sounds.
The construction is operated in that the upper end of the lever, which has a roller, rests on the linkage of the thumb-bell mechanism of the instrument. Further advantages result from the fact that the long b’ (pitch a) now sounds out of a tone hole on the front of the instrument and has A – clarinet – format, as well as the b’, which can be chosen as an overblast tone from the deep E long.
This construction cannot and does not intend to be a general replacement for A clarinets, but it can sometimes help to simplify the life of a clarinetist.

Bass clarinet und Basset horn
A peg made of titanium has many advantages. On the one hand, the weight is much lower compared to steel or stainless steel. In addition, the material is much more robust.
These qualities give the peg its greatest advantage. The sound is extremely improved and is therefore a real upgrade for the instrument.
We offer the pegs for bass clarinet and basset horn. Other lengths can also be realized without problems and can be made on request.
